The Lowly Level 1

Presented at the Los Angeles ASTD Training Manager’s Breakfast
Part I: June 16, 2006
Part II: July 17, 2006
Abstract: Level 1 evaluation data is the Rodney Dangerfield of the learning evaluation hierarchy — it gets no respect. Because Level 1 results are not generally considered to be of much value, organizations are often reluctant to invest in improved processes, tools or instruments to support Level 1 data collection and analysis. This presentation identifies how to improve the quality of Level 1 data and at the same time, build measurement maturity within the organization.
